Kalimera! Panormo ist ein sehr schön gelegenes und v. Massentourismus - Gott sei Dank - noch nicht überroltes Fischerdorf. Die Nähe zu Großstädten wie Heraklion, Rethymno sowie Chania und zu den Flughäfen aber auch zu den Kliniken ist sehr günstig. Der Ort hat alles, was man zum Abschalten braucht. Erholung, einfaches idyllisches Leben, sich gut gehen lassen und nette Dofleute treffen, kulturelle Veranstaltungen - du findest hier alles. Meine Empfehlung: lass die Hotelketten und Pauschaltourismus links liegen, du findest hier jede Menge Privatunterkünfte. Selbstversorger zu sein hift viel mehr den Einheimischen hier. I visited Panormo in May 2012 and am delighted to be going back in September 2013. A true delight - no hideous noisy tourists, just people wanting to get away for a relaxing break and enjoy the fabulous local tavernas. I pray that it never changes!

So Panormo suits well for relaxed holidays as things here run less hectically and noisy than in the bigger tourism centers!

I have visited and stayed in Panormo several times. I love the relaxed atmospere, the traditional tavernas and the friendly locals. I am pleased that it hasn't been taken over by rampant tourism and has retained its Cretan charm. I love it so much I am back for 4 weeks in July/August.
